How To Get Started

Building a shed in your garden can be an easy job. The key is to choose the shed that comes with an easy-to-assemble, DIY system.

Here’s a video to show you how to get started:

 VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Printed assembly instructions are provided in your kit.

To better enjoy the Absco experience, it is important that you read through these instructions in detail, before commencing any assembly.

This will allow you to gain a thorough understanding of assembly methods and the associated details.

A few minutes spent reading these will save you time later. It is recommended that the shed be set on a concrete slab and anchored down appropriately.

If you haven't yet laid a concrete slab, you will find instructions that will assist you in doing so, at the end of this presentation.

Before you begin, check local building codes.

Select a level site that allows you enough working space, where you propose to put your shed.

And determine your shedsfoundation and anchoring system.

Review all the assembly steps and follow the steps sequence for the correct results.

Do not attempt to assemble your shed in strong winds. And follow all safety recommendations.

Caution is required during assembly as some parts may have sharp edges.

It is advisable to wear gloves and long sleeves when handling these items.

If drilling holes is required remember to wear protective eyewear and keep children and pets away from your work site.

The tools you will require include:

  • a drill
  • Number 2 Phillips screw driver,
  • gun which is optional
  • a spirit level,
  • a rubber mallet,
  • a shifting spanner
  • a pop rivet  (Optional)
